To enable a consistent review approach, it is recommended that any grant project staff study JMPE2.0 The Australian Joint Professional Military Education Continuum.

This document allows stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the ADF training process, and it has been mapped across Army, Navy, and Air Force to confirm equivalency.

In addition, an understanding of the ADDIE Instructional Design model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) is needed to help understand the rigour applied to Defence training courses. The ADF uses the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL), providing a Defence overlay to the ADDIE model.
